Thanks to this team-based RPG, Dragon Ball fans can have the likes of Goku and Vegeta team up with fierce enemies like Frieza and Cell. However, as with other RPGs, the Dragon Ball Zcharacters in Dokkan Battle teams are only as strong as their support team members. Considered the backbone of any team, Support Characters are in charge of healing or even buffing the rest of the team. And, with quite a few strong options in the game, players will need to do a bit of research in order to figure out which are the best support character in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

10/10 Explosive Evolution Turles

When Turles finally consumes the Power of the Tree of Might, his strength almost becomes unrivaled across the galaxy. In the gameplay of Dokkan Battle, this transforms him into Explosion Evolution Turles, who is arguably one of the best starting Support Units in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle when reaching Extreme Z-Awakened State.

His mere presence alone gives the team a massive ATK, DEF, and Ki boost courtesy of his Passive (Universe Destroyer’s Ace in the Hole), and this gets upgraded when facing a Super Class enemy. Not only that, but his Leader Skill allows him to boost the same stats for either Movie Bosses or Extreme Class allies, making him perfect for specialized teams. His Super ATK (Meteor Burst Extreme) not only causes immense damage to enemies and boosts his ATK and DEF, but may stun them as well.

Despite being a minor villain in the Baby Saga of Dragon Ball GT, Meta-Rilldo has become a rather fierce cyborg opponent of Goku and his friends. In the gameplay of Dokkan Battle, Fierce Focused Attack Hyper Meta-Rilldo poses a threat at base form, especially with his ability to potentially debilitate opponents.

His Passive (General’s Order) can boost the ATK and DEF of Extreme AGL allies alongside changing Ki Sphere Types to AGL. When activated, his Super ATK (Hyper Meta-Rilldo Punch) not only gives him a massive ATK and DEF boost but may even seal the Super Attack of foes. This gives his allies a lot of room to finish off opponents and ensure they can’t reacquire the advantage.

8/10 Dimension-Breaking Roar Buu (Super)

When the dreaded Dragon Ball villain Evil Buu absorbs Good Buu, he becomes the beefed-up Super Buu. In the gameplay of Dragon Ball Legends, Super Buu reaching his full potential transforms him into Dimension-Breaking Roar Buu (Super), who becomes one of the best Support Units in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle by virtue of his survivability.

His Passive (Evil Shout) alone boosts the Ki, ATK, and DEF of fellow Extreme PHY Types. Not only that, he can change Ki Spheres into PHY to fully capitalize on them. Moreover, his Super ATK (Vice Shout) causes supreme damage to a target and can help Buu to recover 18% of his HP, which is perfect for outlasting opponents in combat.

7/10 Heartless Destruction Buu (Kid)

Fans terrified of Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z have yet to see him in full power until he attains his child-like form, which turns out to be Buu’s original and most destructive form. As his name in Dokkan Battle implies, Heartless Destruction Buu (Kid) relishes in pure chaos, and he has the same capabilities in the game.

For instance, his Passive (Planetary Destruction) provides a massive buff to allies, boosting ATK and DEF of all allies by 50% for as long as Buu’s HP is 80% or higher. Likewise, his Super ATK (Planet Burst) is an equally-devastating attack, not only causing supreme damage to enemies but also lowering their DEF, making them much more vulnerable than anticipated.

6/10 Evolution To Match Strength Hit

Hailed as the multiverse’s strongest assassin, Hit easily becomes one of Goku’s most potent opponents in the Dragon Ball Super story. Such is Hit’s fame that his Evolution to Match Strength Hit variant in Dragon Ball Legends becomes one of the most efficient Support Units in the game. His Leader Skill alone grants team members of Extreme STR bonuses to Ki, HP, ATK, and DEF.

Not only that, but his Passive (Resistance Through Evolution) gives more bonuses to Ki, ATK, and DEF for allies of the same type alongside being able to transform Ki Spheres into STR variants. Lastly, his Super ATK (Time Skip) will raise his DEF and deal supreme damage to enemies with a decent chance of stunning them. This hard-physical approach for Hit gives players an incentive to go up close and personal to foes without worries of retaliation.

5/10 Ingenious Scientist’s Sorcery Demon Goddess Towa

Introduced as the antagonist of Dragon Ball Online and the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series of games, Towa of the Demon Realm is hell-bent on acquiring as much power as possible to rule across the multiverse. This villainous flair of hers ironically makes her a great Support Unit in Dokkan Battle, specifically for her Leader Skill that boosts the Ki, HP, ATK, and DEF of Dragon Ball Heroes characters.

Moreover, her Passive (Destructive Sorcery) gives her allies a significant boost in ATK, DEF, and Ki on top of high chances of giving more buffs to ATK and DEF. This Towa iteration is more receptive to Extreme Class allies as well, wherein they get a boost in ATK and DEF, as well as a once-per-match instant health replenish when health falls below 50%. Lastly, her Super ATK (Inferno Bullet) not only deals immense damage to foes but also debuffs their ATK and even seals their Supers.

4/10 Power Beyond Right And Wrong Toppo (God Of Destruction Mode)

While introduced as someone who loves justice, Toppo of Dragon Ball Super hides a darker side beneath his demeanor. Revealed as a God of Destruction trainee, Toppo can achieve a phase close to that of the likes of Beerus should he discard his sense of justice. In the gameplay of Dokkan Battle, this comes in the form of Power Beyond Right and Wrong Toppo (God of Destruction), who is easily one of the most straightforward Support Units in the game.

His Leadership Skill will boost the Ki, HP, ATK, and DEF of all his allies. Not only that, his Passive (Power from Confirmed Resolution) not only boosts the ATK and DEF of allies but also lessens the DEF of enemies by half. Lastly, his Super ATK (Sphere of Destruction) can cause supreme damage to the target enemy and also boosts the ATK of all allies for a single turn, making it perfect for surprise counter-attacks.

3/10 Roar Of Rage Gohan (Kid)

It’s throughout the course of the Frieza Saga of Dragon Ball Z that Gohan managed to slowly tap into his true potential as one of the world’s most powerful Saiyans. In the gameplay of Dokkan Battle, Roar of Rage Gohan (Kid) is a reflection of his resolution to help his allies in need and is similar to his toolkit. His Leadership Skill boosts the Ki, HP, ATK, and DEF of Super INT types, while his Passive (Outburst of Rage) adds a similar boost.

Not only that, but this Passive can change Ki Spheres into INT, making it useful for INT-heavy setups. His Super ATK (Masenko) isn’t just something that causes supreme damage against enemies either. It also raises his ATK and DEF by a whopping 30% for as long as nine turns, making this iteration of Gohan quite tanky in the long haul.

2/10 Sacred Power Of Time Supreme Kai Of Time (Power Of Time Unleashed)

Even time itself has a Supreme Kai assigned as its guardian, and this role is exemplified further when Sacred Power of Time Supreme Kai of Time (Power of Time Unleashed) makes an appearance as a character in Dokkan Battle. Unlike other Support Units that become backup tanks, the Supreme Kai of Time becomes a behemoth in the support department.

Her Leadership Skill boosts the Ki, HP, ATK, and DEF of Dragon Ball Heroes fighters, while her Passive (Power of Time’s Radiance) boosts the same stats while giving allies an extra dose of critical hit chance. More importantly, her Super ATK (Ultra Time Judgment) not only causes supreme damage to a target but also boosts her DEF massively for a turn while sealing the enemy’s Super ATK.

1/10 Budding Heart Piccolo

It’s when Piccolo took a blow meant for Gohan during Frieza’s terrifying arc that Dragon Ball fans knew the character had finally become one of the good guys. In the gameplay of Dokkan Battle, this becomes exemplified with Budding Heart Piccolo, who is arguably one of the best Support Units in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.

His Leader Skill only boosts HP by 150%, which won’t do much if players are solely looking for offensive bonuses, but can be a huge asset when it comes to boosting survivability. Not only that, his Passive (Trustworthy Warrior) greatly boosts the durability of allies with massive boosts to DEF. Piccolo is no slouch in the attacking department either, with his Super ATK (Hellzone Grenade) and Ultra Super ATK (Don’t Underestimate Earth!) able to deal colossal and mega-colossal damage to a target, respectively.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle was released for Android and iOS.
